How could I ever forget presenting a few months ago to a room of 15 business leaders on the importance of discovering your life purpose? Immediately following the seminar, I was able to connect with a handful of participants and exchange some business cards. Little did I know that one of those business cards would later lead to one amazing conversation that changed a person’s life!
Within a matter of days, we were able to connect over e-mail on a time and place to get back together. I always love getting together with people one-on-one but especially those who have an interest in a topic that has me spring out of bed every morning to discuss—PURPOSE!
When we both arrived at our designated meeting place, a local coffee shop, we sat down my new friend said, “What is it that you believe in that would have you live with so much passion and purpose?”
Wow, what a great question!
As I started to share with her about my personal life journey, it was one of those times that seemed like everyone and everything faded away except for the person sitting across the table from me. It was at that time, both of us realized we were in the right place at the right time for a reason that was far larger than we knew. Have you ever been there? Get ready because it’s going to happen more!
As I continued sharing my life story, I couldn’t help but notice that she was being emotionally moved to the point of tears. Then she said, “I’ve been going to a therapist for years and I haven’t cried like this!”
There was a deep place in her that quite possibly had not been moved like this for her entire life. It had to deal with her personal purpose. In some mysterious way, sharing who I was, what I believe, and what I was put on the earth to do, stirred up something deep in her heart. Our conversation went on for nearly two hours as I’m sure we would both agree that the next time we get together one of us would have to bring the box of tissues. I was humbled that my story led her into such a meaningful place of reflection, personal discovery, and an anticipation of the future!
I find that the more I live out my life purpose, these meetings are happening more regularly.

My question is: to what extent did your conversation with the woman above bring out your / her spiritual purpose? And our seemingly elusive pursuit of getting a handle on the true personal purpose for which we were made?
